Yeah, finally getting something done on this. It feels good to finally make some progress. I think I will get a beta for this story. I would like to bounce some ideas of someone, but I have to find a good beta.
Not that I had a bad one in the past, but I had one that kept telling that what I wrote wasn't realistic. Which I'll admit I don't actually do research for my stories, but the things he would tell me weren't realistic were things that actually happened to me...so it was awkward. I've also had betas that thought I was there personal writer so they would make completely unhelpful suggestions. Like I was writing a story set way in the past and they suddenly suggested I put them on the moon or suggest another pairing. That is were my beta reading ended.
I tried having the hubby beta for me, but um some of the content might turn him green, he is not much of a yaoi fan... He even volunteered, the sweetie that he is, but I can't do that to him.
I think I will seek some advise when the time comes closer.
