Another stupid thing

So I have lots of strange things happen to me. My friends say I'm a target for mishaps. A sun umbrella once shot out of the sand and bowled me over like a torpedo. No one on the beach had seen anything like it. If a frisbee is being thrown nearby I will be hit by it doesn't matter how far it has to travel.

So as is customary in my life, I had another incident. My sister-in-laws boyfriend wants to try to make a parntership with the company I worked for. I've only met the guy twice, and he sort of talks down to me. Not badly, men do this to me all the time, so I can judge who means it and who is just underestimating me. So of course I want to prove, I'm not an idiot and then I can be intelligent-yeah, this was a mistake.

We end up playing phone tag for a couple days, I'm trying again to call him back. I'm in my truck, my husband is driving. When suddenly we are run off the road by some idiot changing lanes. My husband yells, "Oh shit!" While I look on and shout, "What the fuck!?"

We race after the people because they didn't even stop to check if we were ok, just went right around us. As my husband yells at them out the window, I notice my phone has a call in progress. I hang up immediately and tell my husband that I think I just left a nasty message on his future brother-in-laws voicemail. I call the guy back and he answers right away, sounding sorta nervous. I'm not sure how many times I apologized but I think it ranges in the hundreds. He had no clue what to do with me, the crazy white girl in his girlfriend's family.

She told me later that he wouldn't think I was strange, but that I just didn't like him. I'm not sure how that was supposed to make me feel better, but at least she was laughing about it. My brother-in-law and father-in-law already think I'm crazy, it is a good thing I have the women on my side I don't know how I'd make it through our annual reunions.
